Fortuna Foothills is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Yuma County, Arizona, within the United States. It is part of the city of Yuma and falls under the jurisdiction of the Yuma County Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2010 census, the area had a population of 26,265 residents.
The development of Fortuna Foothills began in the 1960s after local developer Hank Schechert purchased 3,000 acres located east of Yuma. The community primarily serves as a bedroom community for those employed at Yuma, the Yuma Proving Ground, and Marine Corps Air Station Yuma. Additionally, the area is characterized by a large population of seasonal residents.
