Casa Grande

Casa Grande is a city located in Pinal County, Arizona, situated approximately halfway between the cities of Phoenix and Tucson. The city derives its name from the Spanish phrase for "big house," though it is named after the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument, which is actually located in the nearby town of Coolidge.

The population of the city has seen steady growth, recorded at 53,658 during the 2020 census and estimated to be 68,927 in 2024. As of 2025, the population is reported as 70,156. Among English-speaking residents, there is no consensus regarding the correct pronunciation of the city's name.
