Murfreesboro is a city located in Rutherford County, Tennessee, in the United States. It serves as the county seat and is situated approximately 34 miles (55 km) southeast of downtown Nashville.
As part of the Nashville metropolitan area in Middle Tennessee, the city had a population of 152,769 according to the 2020 census.
