De Queen is a city located in Sevier County, Arkansas, in the United States. It serves as the county seat for the region and had a recorded population of 6,105 during the 2020 census.
The name of the city is an anglicization of the family name belonging to Jan de Goeijen (1861–1944), who was a Dutch merchant and railway financier. Historical accounts suggest that De Goeijen was reportedly unhappy with the deformation of his name into the current placename.
