Prattville is a city located in the state of Alabama, United States. It occupies land within both Autauga and Elmore counties and serves as the county seat for Autauga County. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 37,781.
The city was founded by Daniel Pratt and is situated within the Montgomery Metropolitan Area. It is known by the nickname "The Fountain City," a title derived from the numerous artesian wells found in the surrounding area.
