Kasese is a town located in the Western Region of Uganda. It serves as the capital of Kasese District and holds the distinction of being the largest town within the Rwenzururu region.
Geographically, the town is situated north of Lake George and east of the Rwenzori Mountains. According to the 2024 census, Kasese has a population of 133,629 residents.
