Pakwach is a town located in the Northern Region of Uganda. It serves as the primary commercial, political, and administrative center for Pakwach District.
Historically, the town was briefly occupied during the 19th century by the Ottoman branch of the Khedivate of Egypt. This occupation occurred as part of the Hatt-ı Üstuva (Equatoria) Vilayet.
