Bugembe is a town located in the Jinja District within the Eastern Region of Uganda. It serves as an important administrative and cultural center for the local population.
The town is notable for being the seat of the Kingdom of Busoga, which is one of the four constitutional kingdoms in Uganda. The kingdom's boundaries are coterminous with the Busoga sub-region.
