Binyiny is a town situated in the eastern region of Uganda. It serves as the largest urban center within Kween District and functions as the administrative headquarters for the area.
Kween District was established in 2010 as one of the 23 new districts in Uganda. Before its creation in July 2010, the territory that now comprises the district was part of Kapchorwa District.
