Korosten, historically known as Iskorosten, is a historic city and large transport hub located in the Zhytomyr Oblast of northern Ukraine. The city is situated on the banks of the Uzh River and serves as the administrative center for the Korosten Raion.
As of January 2022, the population of Korosten was approximately 61,496 residents. It remains a significant regional point within northern Ukraine due to its historical status and role as a transport hub.
