Berdychiv is a historic city located in northern Ukraine within the Zhytomyr Oblast. It serves as the administrative center of the Berdychiv Raion and is situated approximately 44 km (27 mi) south of the oblast's administrative center, Zhytomyr.
The city has a population of approximately 73,046 residents. It remains a significant regional hub in the northern part of the country.
