Tokmak, formerly known as Velykyi Tokmak, is a small city located in the Polohy Raion of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast in south-central Ukraine. It serves as the administrative center of the Tokmak urban hromada and was previously the center of the Tokmak Raion until its disestablishment in 2020.
The city is situated on the Tokmak River, which is a tributary of the Molochna River. Before the war, the population of Tokmak was approximately 29,573 residents.
