Orikhiv is a city located in the Polohy Raion of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast in southern Ukraine. As of January 1, 2022, the city had an estimated population of 13,896 residents.
During the early stages of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, a significant number of residents evacuated the area, leaving approximately 6,000 people remaining by August. The city has faced constant shelling by Russian artillery since that time. By February 2024, it was estimated that between 1,000 and 1,400 people remained in Orikhiv.
