Velyki Berehy is a village situated in the Zakarpattia Oblast of western Ukraine. It is located approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) northeast of the city of Berehove, positioned on the right bank of the Borzsova rivulet and on the eastern side of the loch Szernye.
Administratively, the village falls under the jurisdiction of the Berehove Raion within the Zakarpattia Oblast. Historically, the name Velyki Berehy is derived from the Hungarian word "berek" and was first recorded in historical documents as Beregu.
