Uzhhorod is a city located in western Ukraine on the banks of the Uzh River. It serves as the administrative center for both the Zakarpattia Oblast region and the Uzhhorod Raion district. The city is situated near the border with Slovakia and in close proximity to the Hungarian border.

Geographically, Uzhhorod is notable for being approximately equidistant from the Baltic, Adriatic, and Black Seas, measuring between 650 and 690 kilometers from each. This positioning makes it the most inland city in this specific part of Europe. As of recent data, the city has a population of 115,449.
