Vinnytsia is a city located in west-central Ukraine on the banks of the Southern Bug river. It serves as the administrative center for both the Vinnytsia Oblast and the Vinnytsia Raion, which is one of six raions within the oblast.
The city holds the distinction of being the largest urban center in the historic region of Podillia. As of recent data, it has a population of 430,091 residents.
