Buryn is a city located in the Konotop Raion of the Sumy Oblast in north-eastern Ukraine. It served as the administrative center of the Buryn Raion until that district was abolished on July 18, 2020.
The city has an estimated population of 8,197 residents. During the ongoing conflict in the region, Buryn was under Russian occupation from February 24 to April 4, 2022.
