Kiliya

Kiliia (also known as Kiliya or Kilia) is a city located in the Izmail Raion of the Odesa Oblast in southwestern Ukraine. It serves as the administrative center for the Kiliia urban hromada, one of the local administrative divisions within the country.

The city is situated in the Danube Delta within the historic Bessarabian district of Budjak. It sits directly across the river from the Romanian town of Chilia Veche. The branch of the Danube River that separates Ukraine and Romania in this area is named after Kiliia. As of recent records, the city has a population of 18,745.
