Stryi is a city located in western Ukraine within the Lviv Oblast. It is situated on the left bank of the Stryi River in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains, positioned approximately 65 kilometres (40 mi) south of the city of Lviv.
The city serves as the administrative center for both the Stryi Raion and the Stryi urban hromada. It has a population of approximately 59,425 residents.
