Sheptytskyi is a historical mining town located in western Ukraine. It serves as the administrative center of the Sheptytskyi Raion within the Lviv Oblast. The city was formerly known as Chervonohrad and historically referred to as Krystynopol.
The town hosts the administration of the Sheptytskyi urban hromada, which is one of the recognized hromadas in Ukraine. Geographically, Sheptytskyi is situated approximately 62 km north of Lviv, 7 km from Sokal, and 28 km northeast of the town of Voroniv. As of recent records, the city has a population of 64,297.
