Sokolohirsk, also known as Pervomaisk, is a city located in the Luhansk Oblast of Ukraine. It is situated on the left bank of the Luhan River.
The city is positioned approximately 71 kilometres by road from Luhansk and 736 kilometres from the capital, Kyiv. It lies 133 kilometres from Izvaryne, which marks the de jure international border between Ukraine and Russia.
