Novoaidar is a rural settlement situated in the Shchastia Raion of the Luhansk Oblast in eastern Ukraine's Donbas region. It serves as the center of the Novoaidar settlement hromada.
The settlement is located on the river Aidar and along Highway H21, which connects Donetsk to Starobilsk. Geographically, it is positioned approximately 57 km by road from the regional center of Luhansk, 43 km from Sieverodonetsk, and 747 km from the capital city of Kyiv.
