Dovzhansk, also known as Sverdlovsk, is an industrial city located in the Luhansk Oblast of eastern Ukraine. It is situated near the internationally recognized border with Russia and serves as the administrative residence for both the Dovzhansk Raion district and the Dovzhansk urban hromada.
The city is positioned approximately 80 kilometres, or about 50 miles, from Luhansk, which is the administrative center of the oblast. As of recent estimates, the population of Dovzhansk is approximately 62,691 residents.
