Slavutych is a city and municipality located in northern Ukraine. It was purpose-built to house the personnel who were evacuated from the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant following the 1986 disaster near the city of Pripyat.
Geographically, Slavutych is situated within Chernihiv Raion, Chernihiv Oblast, and is administratively subordinated to the Kyiv Oblast as part of Vyshhorod Raion. The city is coterminous with the Slavutych urban hromada. As of 2024, the population of the city is approximately 20,000 people.
