Pereiaslav is a historical city located in the Boryspil Raion of the Kyiv Oblast in central Ukraine. It is situated near the confluence of the Alta and Trubizh rivers, approximately 95 km (59.03 mi) southeast of the national capital, Kyiv.
During the Middle Ages, Pereiaslav served as a significant regional center of power and functioned as the capital of a principality. Today, it serves as the seat of administration for the Pereiaslav urban hromada. The city has a population of approximately 26,273 residents.
