Grishino is a former name for the city currently known as Pokrovsk. It serves as the administrative center of the Pokrovsk Raion in the Donetsk Oblast of Ukraine, situated approximately 56 kilometres northwest of Donetsk.
Prior to its renaming, the city was incorporated as a city of oblast significance and had a population of roughly 60,127. In recent years, the population declined significantly due to conflict, falling to under 1,500 by late July 2025 before the city was captured by Russia in early 2026.
