Khmelnytskyi is a city located in western Ukraine on the banks of the Southern Bug river. It serves as the administrative center for both Khmelnytskyi Oblast and the Khmelnytskyi Raion within that oblast.
The city has a population of 274,452 residents. It is recognized as the second-largest city in the historical region of Podolia, following Vinnytsia.
