Izyum, also known as Izium, is a city located in eastern Ukraine within the Kharkiv Oblast. Situated on the banks of the Donets River, it serves as the administrative center for both the Izium Raion and the Izium urban hromada.
The city is positioned approximately 120 kilometres (75 miles) southeast of Kharkiv, which functions as the administrative center of the oblast. It remains a key geographical point in the region's administrative structure.
