Yamnytsia is a village located in the Ivano-Frankivsk Raion of the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast in western Ukraine. It is situated just a few miles north of the city of Ivano-Frankivsk and serves as the seat of administration for the Yamnytsia rural hromada.
The village is historically notable for the Battle of Yamnytsia, which occurred during the Kerensky Offensive. During this engagement, the Russian Imperial Army successfully secured the area north of Stanislau for a brief period. As a result of the battle, all soldiers from the Kornilov Strike regiment were awarded the Cross of St. George.
