Starobesheve is a rural settlement located in the Donetsk Oblast of eastern Ukraine. It is situated on the right bank of the Kalmius River, approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) northwest of the internationally recognized border with Russia.
The settlement has an estimated population of between 6,044 and 6,317 residents based on recent data. It serves as a rural locality within the regional geography of eastern Ukraine.
