Soledar is a destroyed city located in the Bakhmut Raion of the Donetsk Oblast in eastern Ukraine. Situated within the Donbas region, the city served as a significant industrial hub for the area.
The city's name is derived from its historical importance to the salt mining industry. Before its destruction, the last recorded population estimate for Soledar was 10,490 in 2022.
