Kramatorsk is a city located in the Donetsk Oblast of eastern Ukraine's Donbas region. It serves as the administrative center of Kramatorsk Raion and was previously designated as a city of oblast significance until 2020. The city is situated on the banks of the Kazennyi Torets, which is a right tributary of the Siverskyi Donets river.
The city has a population of 147,145 and is recognized as an important industrial and mechanical engineering center within Ukraine. Since October 2014, Kramatorsk has served as the provisional seat of Donetsk Oblast following the conflict in the Donbas region.
