Kostiantynivka is an industrial city located in the Donetsk Oblast of eastern Ukraine. It serves as a significant component of the Kramatorsk agglomeration alongside its neighboring cities.
The city is recognized as the capital of the glass industry in Ukraine. During the Soviet era, it developed into a major hub for various sectors, including ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, steel, zinc, chemicals, construction, and glass production. Additionally, Kostiantynivka serves as an important transit railway junction.
Historically, the city functioned as the administrative center of the Kostiantynivka Raion until 2020, despite not being geographically located within that district.
