Uman is a city located in central Ukraine within the Cherkasy Oblast. Situated to the east of Vinnytsia and on the banks of the Umanka River, it lies in the eastern part of the historical region of Podolia.
The city serves as the administrative center of the Uman Raion district and hosts the administration of the Uman urban hromada. As of recent records, the population of the city is 81,525.
