Chake Chake

Chake-Chake is the administrative and commercial capital of Pemba, an island in Tanzania. It serves as the seat of the court for the island and is located within the Chake-Chake District. The town is situated in the center of a deep indentation on the west coast known as Chake-Chake Bay.

The metropolitan area of Chake-Chake had a population of 136,298 in 2022. While it serves as the primary urban hub for Pemba, the island's only airport is located approximately 7 kilometers to the southeast of the town.
