Tandahimba is one of the six districts located within the Mtwara Region of Tanzania. It serves as a geographical administrative division in the southern part of the country.
The district is defined by its neighboring borders, which include the Lindi Region to the north and the Newala District to the west. To the east, it borders the Mtwara Rural District, while its southern boundary is shared with Mozambique.
