Newala is a district located in the Mtwara Region of Tanzania. It serves as an administrative division within the country's southern coastal area.
The district is geographically bordered by Masasi District to the west and Tandahimba District to the east, with Newala Town situated to its south. To the north, it shares boundaries with both Tandahimba and Masasi Districts. A notable geographical feature within the district is the Miyuyu Forest Reserve.
