Kidatu is a town situated in central Tanzania within the Kilombero District of the Morogoro Region. It serves as a local hub with a population of approximately 3,300 residents.
The primary economic driver for the area is the large Illovo sugar cane plantation and factory. This facility is a significant industrial site in the region, producing an annual output of 130,000 tonnes of sugar.
