Changhua, officially known as Changhua City, is a county-administered city located in the Taiwan region of Taiwan. It serves as the county seat for Changhua County and is a significant urban center within the country.
The site has a long history as a settlement for the Babuza people, a coastal tribe of Taiwanese aborigines, who inhabited the area for many centuries. Today, it is recognized as the most populous county-administered city in Taiwan.
Changhua City is an integral part of the Taichung–Changhua metropolitan area, which stands as the second largest metropolitan region in Taiwan.
