Karaisa

Karaisa, also known as Meghvahovit, is a village located in the Lori Province of Armenia. It was historically inhabited by an Azerbaijani population prior to the exodus that occurred following the outbreak of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Following the displacement of the original inhabitants, Armenian refugees from Azerbaijan settled in the village during 1988 and 1989. The location is currently identified by its modern name, Meghvahovit.
