Konuralp is a city located in Turkey. Historically known as Prusias ad Hypium, the settlement was situated in ancient Bithynia and later within the late Roman province of Honorias.
Before being conquered by King Prusias I of Bithynia, the city was named Cierus or Kieros and belonged to the Heraclea Pontica. According to historical accounts by Photius, it was called Kieros in reference to the river that flows nearby. During the 4th century, the site functioned as a bishopric serving as a suffragan of Claudiopolis in Honoriade.
