Posof is a town located in the Ardahan Province of eastern Turkey. Situated in the historical region of Samtskhe, it lies approximately 75 km from the city of Ardahan and is positioned near the border with Georgia.
The town serves as the administrative center of the Posof District. As of 2021, the population of Posof was recorded at 2,106 residents.
