Zonguldak

Zonguldak is a city located in the Black Sea region of Turkey. It serves as the administrative seat for both Zonguldak Province and Zonguldak District, with a population of approximately 100,000 people.

The city was established in 1849 primarily to function as a port town for the coal mines situated in the nearby area of Ereğli. The current mayor is Tahsin Erdem, who represents the CHP.
