Kilimli is a town located in the Zonguldak Province of Turkey. It serves as the seat of the Kilimli District and is situated on the shore of the Black Sea at the eastern end of Zonguldak. The town is positioned near the neighboring locations of Zonguldak and Çatalağzı.
The settlement is a relatively new town that was established following the discovery of coal mines in the surrounding area. Kilimli flourished after the founding of the Kilimli coal company in 1927, which was subsequently purchased by the government in 1936 along with other nearby mines. Today, it remains a typical mining town with a population of 19,989 as of 2022.
