Goekcebey

Gökçebey is a town located in the Zonguldak Province within the Black Sea region of Turkey. It serves as the administrative seat of the Gökçebey District and has been recognized as a municipality since 1972. As of 2022, the town has a population of 8,673.

Historically, Gökçebey was part of the Devrek District until 1990. The town is notable for being a location through which the Ankara-Zonguldak railway passes. It is currently governed by Mayor Vedat Öztürk of the CHP.
