Çaycuma is a town located in the Zonguldak Province within the Black Sea region of Turkey. It serves as the administrative seat of the Çaycuma District. As of 2022, the town has a population of 30,255 and is currently governed by Mayor Bülent Kantarcı of the CHP.
The town is composed of 11 distinct neighborhoods, including Yeni Mahalle, Çay Mahallesi, Pehlivanlar, Istasyon, Gemiciler, Kayıkçılar, Karamusa, Karalar, Sofular, Velioğlu, and Yeşiltepe. Çaycuma is notably recognized for its production of yogurt, which is well known throughout both the Zonguldak province and Turkey.
