Karkamış, formerly known as Carablus, is a municipality and district located in the Gaziantep Province of Turkey. The area covers approximately 298 square kilometers and had a recorded population of 9,379 as of 2022.
The district is situated adjacent to the archaeological site of ancient Carchemish. It serves as a primary administrative and residential hub within its region of southeastern Turkey.
