Gaziantep

Gaziantep is a major city located in south-central Turkey. It serves as the capital of the Gaziantep Province, situated in the westernmost part of the Southeastern Anatolia Region and partially within the Mediterranean Region. The city is positioned on the Sajur River, approximately 185 km (115 mi) east of Adana and 97 km (60 mi) north of Aleppo, Syria.

Historically known as Aintab, the city is still informally referred to as Antep. It remains a significant regional center within its geographic location in Turkey.
