Şabanözü is a town located in the Çankırı Province of Turkey. It serves as the administrative seat of the Şabanözü District and is situated at an elevation of 1,095 meters (3,593 feet) above sea level.
The town is positioned approximately 80 kilometers (50 miles) from Ankara and 100 kilometers (62 miles) from Çankırı. As of 2021, the population of Şabanözü was 8,843 residents. The municipality consists of seven distinct quarters: Cumhuriyet, Sağlık, Yeni, Mahmudiye, Gürpınar, Gümerdiğin, and Karaören.
