Çankırı is a city located in Turkey, situated approximately 140 km (87 mi) northeast of the capital, Ankara. It sits at an elevation of about 800 m (2500 ft) above sea level.
The city serves as the seat of both Çankırı Province and Çankırı District. As of 2021, the population of the city was recorded at 90,564.
